San Diego Chargers finished 29-24 victory over the Denver Broncos Sunday without injured running back Mike Tolbert and Ryan Mathews.
Despite this, Chargers coach Norv Turner did not sound concerned about the long-term impact injuries to its top two running backs.
It was announced in the second half that Tolbert did not return to the game because of a concussion.
Tolbert, who suffered damage during the second quarter, finished with five carries for 24 yards and three receptions for 25 yards.
Tolbert with shippers turned to Matthews, who left the game in the first half with a calf and strain and was taken to the locker room. But Matthews had a notable lack of stretching downwards, as Chargers count on Jacob Hester. Turner suggested that Matthews was not available later in In the fourth quarter, but did not provide the functionality.
“I think (Tolbert) came out right,” said Turner. “I think, (Mathews) will be fine. Rendezvous weeks just in time. ”
